Scheduling a mediation or arbitration
We prioritize making the scheduling process as seamless as possible. You can view available dates on the calendar below and use the contact form to request a mediation or arbitration session.
Half-day mediations are scheduled only after a discussion with John to ensure they are appropriate for the case. If you have any questions or need to reserve multiple days, please call John directly at 214.729.7216 for assistance.
Mediation fee schedule
John’s mediation fee is all-inclusive, covering:
- Preparation time – including review of briefs and pre-mediation discussions
- Pre-mediation consultations – individual calls or meetings as needed
- The mediation session – facilitation of the negotiation process
- Use of our mediation facility – a professional and neutral setting for discussions
- Scheduling and administration – seamless coordination of all logistics
- Working lunch – provided during the session for full-day mediations
- Follow-up calls – if necessary, to assist in finalizing the resolution
The mediation fee is shared among the parties, with each party responsible for the following amounts:

A “side” is defined as a party or group of parties represented by the same law firm or firms. Parties with separate legal representation are considered distinct sides. For cases involving four or more sides, we are open to discussing a potential reduction from our standard perparty rate. The amount in controversy is calculated as the total sum of all claims for affirmative relief, whether by claim or counterclaim. This amount may be adjusted if subsequent settlement demands have reduced the actual dispute at hand.
Arbitration fee schedule
John’s arbitration rate is $500 per hour, covering hearing time, case study, and travel, regardless of the number of parties involved. Unless otherwise agreed, this fee is divided equally among the sides. An advance deposit is required based on the estimated time needed for the hearing, as well as all pre-hearing and post-hearing activities.
Cancellation policy
If a matter is canceled more than seven days before the hearing, any unused portion of the retainer will be refunded, unless otherwise agreed. For hearings scheduled for three days or less, cancellations or postponements within seven days of the start date will incur a cancellation fee of $2,175 per canceled day. For hearings lasting more than three days, alternative arrangements will be required.
